Celebrate the life of this true American hero
On November 26, 1878, Marshall W. Taylor is born in rural Indiana to a couple who moved north from Kentucky around the time of the Civil War.
On Saturday, November 26, the local chapter of the Mayor Taylor Cycling Club will ride to celebrate the birthday of the namesake and of the forgotten champion.
Rides will take place simultaneously across the country.
Pittsburgh’s ride will begin at the Performance store (6401 Penn Avenue, 1Pittsburgh, PA 15206) at noon and will be a C-class, no drop ride of about 25 miles.
