Contest ends on Feb 29 – Next Public Meeting Thursday March 15
The Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA), is embarking on an ambitious project that spans the Allegheny River from the Strip District to Lawrenceville. The vision of the Allegheny Riverfront Green Boulevard is to reconnect the neighborhood with the riverfront while providing better biking, transit, walking and freight possibilities.
They want to know how you currently use the corridor, where you drive, bike, walk, shop, dine, etc, and where you would like to. In order to capture this information, they’ve created some online interactive “games” that allows you to simply input this information. There is a transportation component to the game that is important to make sure that how you bike, the problems that you run into, or the things that you enjoy are recorded for the planning team. They would also like to know your vision – ie what you would like to see along the corridor.
To make it even more fun, if you participate by February 29, you will be entered into a drawing for a $100 gift certificate to Cioppino of Pittsburgh in the Strip.
Get involved and attend the next public meeting!
The URA also announced the next Public Meeting for the project.
