Get your gears turning to submit a BikeFest 2012 Event!

BikeFest 2012 is on the way, so that means it’s time to start planning events for the August 5th through the 19th festivities. BikeFest 2012 kicks off on August 5 with PedalPGH, followed by a mid-BikeFest Party. We are looking to you, Pittsburgh’s cycling community, to help out and get involved!

Every year we have a variety of events on the calendar ranging from group bike rides to movie screenings to repair workshops and more.  The heart of BikeFest is what new and exciting events that people, like you, come up with and submit year after year. Do you have some special local knowledge that you simply want to share? Organize a ride and tell people! Or you can put together an art show, movie screening, or anything you think might be a fun event that would fit with the our mission of celebrating Pittsburgh and it’s cycling community. Check out a previous BikeFest calendar for some helpful ideas.

Feel free to e-mail bikefest@bike-pgh.org with any interesting ideas or questions.  If you would like to plan an event, please have your submissions in no later than July 17th to ensure you are included in the printed calendar.   We’re looking forward to hearing from you!
