Inaugural Pittsburgh Bicycle Film Festival Rolls into Regent Square on March 28
Bicycles and Pittsburgh go together like peanut butter and jelly. From the Dirty Dozen to Pedal Pittsburgh, the Keg Ride to the GAP Trail, Pittsburghers love to pedal. What better way to shake off the dust of winter and inspire your two-wheeled dreams to become real adventures than a great night of bicycle films from across the globe.
25% of all tickets sales go directly to Bike Pittsburgh. Along with great movies there will be free soda and beer samples from the East End Brewing Company. It’s BYOC (Bring You Own Cup….or water bottle)
Showtime is 7pm, Thursday, March 28th, 2013. Regent Square Theater is located at 1035 South Braddock Avenue, Pittsburgh, 15218.
Tickets for the Film Fest are on sale now at pghbikeff.eventbrite.com. $16 in advance, $20 at the door.
Highlighted movies to be shown:
The Cyclo Diaries. Two Australian tour guides decide to pedal a brakeless gearless pedicab 1800 kilometers from Hanoi to Ho Chi Minh City to raise money for charity. If the route were flat it would be a big challenge. Unfortunately the route is hilly and they have to do some quick thinking to keep the pedicab on the move. If you think the hills of Pittsburgh are daunting, try pedaling a pedicab for 140km in a single day.
