This event is for women who bike, women who don’t bike, women who are considering biking, and men who support any of those choices! With your participation, a new Women and Biking zine will be created. We’d love for you to write a page or two for this new zine, and bring it to read at the event.
Write down an experience you had biking or thinking about biking. Sketch an image if you’d like, and we’ll put it all together at the hangout! The zine will be 5.5″ x 8.5″ (portrait – the size of a sheet of paper folded in half). We will create copies of the zine for everyone to keep!* If you don’t want to bring a story then just bring yourself.
We’ll have biking zines, in particular women’s biking zines, from the CLP’s zine collection to read while we have drinks† and snacks.
* There is a suggested $5-$10 donation to help cover costs of making the zine, but no one is turned away
† You are welcome to BYOB if you’d like!
