Ross seeks community volunteers to improve walking and biking in the township

If you are a resident of Ross Township, consider applying to serve on the newly formed bike and pedestrian committee. If not, share this exciting opportunity with people in your network.

Ross Commissioner Jeremy Shaffer is seeking volunteers to serve on a committee to make the township a better place to walk, jog or ride a bicycle.

He is seeking seven to 10 people to serve on the Ross Bicycle and Pedestrian Committee. Those who would like to serve on it should email a paragraph describing their interest, along with name, address and contact information, to Shaffer at commward8@ross.pa.us. The deadline for applying is Jan. 15.

“In Ross, we have lots of great stores and parks that are right around the corner (from) where people live,” he said. “We want to be able to have the option to walk or bike to them.”
