This video sums up who SPC is and what they do
Take a survey to weigh in on the future of SW Pennsylvania transporation
The Southwest Pennsylvania Commission (SPC), is a quasi-governmental organization tasked with helping set the regional 10-county transportation priorities. These include highways, transit, freight, biking and walking.
They are looking to the public right now to help them figure out where to allocate resources in their update to the Long Range Plan. Included is a fun exercise where you can allocate $100 in funds.
Needless to say, they are an important organization, and so please take their survey.
Note: In the first question, “Regional Vision,” they did not include biking and walking. The final fourth question is open ended. They will be taking input until the end of March.
It’s up to you, but we also recommend zeroing out dollars for new highway capacity.
