Experience Pittsburgh in a whole new way
By Sarah Quinn, Volunteer Coordinator
Last month, over 200 volunteers helped make Open Streets happen in our city. Together we drew approximately 20,000 people out to run, walk, bike, shop, and play on the 3.5 mile corridor, free of cars… And the next OpenStreetsPGH is going to be even better!
Help us kick things off by volunteering at the second event of the summer on Sunday, June 26th. You can help with everything from hanging “No Parking” signs, to answering questions, taking photos, giving away high fives, and more.
Volunteers who help out for 4 or more hours will receive a special OpenStreetsPGH t-shirt and the chance to be a part of something amazing.
Volunteering is more fun with friends – bring a small team from work, your kickball team, or your whole crew out for a shift. You can also promote OpenStreetsPGH by sharing this link with your friends, family, and anyone else who wants to get in on the fun.
If you aren’t free on Sunday, June 26th but you still want to get involved, drop us a line at volunteer@bikepgh.org. There are plenty of volunteer opportunities leading up to OpenStreetsPGH, and the last event of the summer is on Sunday, July 31st.
See you on the streets!
