#1: HR/Wellness Program Development

Riding bikes is down right good for you! (It’s also a ton of fun.) But don’t take our word for it, there are plenty of studies to show that active, bike riding employees are more productive, have lower healthcare costs and feel better about coming to work. Think of your BikePGH Business Membership as an investment in your HR/Employee Wellness program. Your business and employees will have access to programs and communications that will educate and encourage employees to engage with biking. BikePGH Business Members receive a free Bike Hour! Lunch and Learn to host for employees before/during Bike Month (May) or the summer season. We’ll also get your HR team calendars of events and pre-loaded copy to promote through employee newsletters or at the water cooler. Finally, we’re here at your beck and call to guide with Bike To Work Day initiatives and creating bike parking facilities. Employees will thank you for it.

#2: Employee Discounts

Ahh the benefits of BikePGH Business Membership. As a Business Member, your employees will receive discounts to our signature BikePGH like PedalPGH (where your company can create a team to participate the region’s largest bike ride with over 3,000 riders) and the BikeFest party.  Business Members will also be invited to our exclusive year-end Business Members Appreciation Night (where the food is plentiful, the awards are joyous and the wine flows freely). It is a great time to bring our Business Members together and reflect on all the BikePGH work that is made possible through their support.  As if that wasn’t enough, Business Members will also be able to offer discounted individual BikePGH membership to their employees, so that they can get discounts at local bike shops, restaurants, classes and more.

#3: You’re doing the work. Get recognized for it

You’ll be recognized as a business that is leading this movement. All businesses that support BikePGH as members receive shoutouts to our social media networks of over 25,000 followers. You’ll also receive a linked listing or logo on BikePGH’s business program webpage, AND you’ll be named in our Annual Report amid a year’s worth of our organization’s successes in advocacy, community and education.  To all of our silver members, you’ll also have you logo listed on our bi-monthly Business Program email.

#4: BikePGH needs you if we are to keep making change

And the final reason for why your business should join as a Business Member in 2017 is because BikePGH is doing amazing work that is building a better Pittsburgh and we need you!  We are literally changing our city’s landscape. Whether through our advocacy with the city, our education classes in public schools, our daily communications, or our community events that draw tens of thousands; BikePGH’s work is shifting the way that people think about the role of our streets.  Everyone has a right to safe transportation and a healthy neighborhood. We could not do this without the support of our grassroots army of 3,000+ annual donors, 90+ business members, and social media following totaling 25,000+. And we will not be able to continue creating change at this pace without the support of you and your business!
