Join the Spinnsters on a casual, no-drop ride every third Tuesday of the month
If you’ve been waiting for the chance to get active on two wheels with a group of welcoming friendly and fun women bikers and have a great time while doing it, these monthly rides are the ticket for you. You can find us at Schenley Plaza every third Tuesday of the month through November.
Bike Pittsburgh’s women and biking programming–The Spinnsters–aims to create space for women to enjoy and learn about biking together. This year we’ve expanded our programming to offer more educational opportunities, and with the help of a Super Volunteer Emily Stilwell, we are getting together for monthly rides.
About the Next Ride:
This ride will start and end at the same location: Schenley Plaza in Oakland. The route will be approximately 10 miles, and there will be some hills–this is Pittsburgh after all–but, everyone should and can ride at their own pace. This is a NO-DROP ride meaning you will never be left behind!
After we ride, we’d love for you to join us for a happy hour to celebrate and get to know each other better.
You must have front and rear bike lights and a helmet to attend this ride. Be sure to do a safety check of your bike before heading out. A safety check involves something like the ABC Quick Check, meaning air, brakes, chain, and quick releases. Watch this video for a quick tutorial.
