Streets will convert from car-friendly to people-friendly Sunday at 9am
An estimated 25,000 bicyclists and pedestrians will take to Pittsburgh’s streets this Sunday, July 30 for OpenStreetsPGH. Participants will enjoy the car-free streets of Downtown, the Strip District, and Lawrenceville from 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Car traffic will be prohibited on a 3.5 mile stretch of Penn Avenue and Butler Street on Sunday morning.

TRAFFIC ADVISORY
Streets will begin closing Sunday at 8 a.m. The following streets will be impacted:
- Market Street from Market Square to Liberty Avenue
- 6th Street from Liberty to Penn Avenue
- Penn Avenue from 6th Street to 34th Street
- Butler Street from 34th Street to Plummer Street
Roadways will reopen promptly at 1:30 p.m.

There are 11 intersections along the route where motorized vehicles CAN cross the route during the event.
Downtown
- Fifth Ave. & Market St.
- Liberty Ave. & 6th St.
- Penn Ave. & 7th St.
- Penn Ave. & 10th St.
- Penn Ave. & 11th St.
Strip District
- Penn Ave. & 16th St.
- Penn Ave. & 21st St.
- Penn Ave. & 26th St.
- Penn Ave. & 31st St.
Lawrenceville
- Butler Ave. & 40th St.
- Butler Ave. & 44th St.
PARKING RESTRICTIONS
Cars parked along the route must be moved before 3 a.m. on Sunday morning or they will be towed. No parking signs will be placed along the route on Thursday.
