BikePGH Volunteer of the Year: James Simkins

James Simkins has been a huge supporter of BikePGH’s Education Program as a volunteer co-instructor for Positive Spin. BikePGH’s Positive Spin after school bike program teaches youth the essential skills they need to safely operate bikes and navigate city streets, trails, and parks.

Throughout six weeks of volunteering Monday-Friday with Positive Spin, James and the students each climbed 10,580 ft of elevation and covered over 230 miles on their bikes. We are excited for you to learn a bit more about James and his experience with BikePGH in his own words!

P.S. Thank you !

To the 350 incredible volunteers that put in over 2000 volunteer hours this year, we are SO grateful for your support. We truly could not do this work without such a talented community of volunteers backing us up.
