The 27th annual PedalPGH is still on!
It’s no understatement to say that the world has been completely upended and that most of our summer plans are suddenly looking a whole lot different. We wanted to give you a quick update on our plans for the 27th annual PedalPGH, Bike Pittsburgh’s annual fundraising ride through the ‘Burgh.
As of now, registration remains open, though we will not be heavily promoting the ride for the time being. With our community at the front of mind, we are extending the early-bird discounts on registrations, both standard and premium, through May 31. We also want to say that we understand fundraising and charity rides may not be in the cards for all our participants, so if you require a refund on a previously purchased PedalPGH registration, don’t hesitate to contact us.
In the spirit of complete transparency, we don’t know exactly what’s in store for our fundraiser this year. Bike Pittsburgh will be adhering to all State, County, and City of Pittsburgh recommendations for events in the weeks leading up to the ride. Our intention is still to hold an in-person event, but we are also preparing a different type of riding experience that will be rolled out if necessary.
For those of you who are still in a position to donate/participate, please know that we need you now more than ever.
Your registration for UPMC Health Plan PedalPGH helps us to create the Pittsburgh we want to live in, one where our streets are designed for people and for the community.
With many of us largely homebound, the freedom to explore Pittsburgh on two wheels feels more precious now than it ever has. We hope that by August things have changed for the better, and PedalPGH can be something we all look forward to as a community.
In the coming weeks, your BikePGH membership will be all the more important. Your support ensures that we can remain committed to transforming our city’s streets into safe spaces for biking and walking. Please join or renew your membership today so that we can continue the vital work of making Pittsburgh a more livable city for everyone.

What’s the date for PedalPgh? I can’t find it in this post.
I love Pedal Pittsburgh, but how can you even think about holding a large fundraiser while Covid cases are skyrocketing? Is Pedal Pittsburgh worth even one life? You are putting seniors and children at risk just to line your pockets. Please do the right thing and cancel now!
