Light the Way to Safer Streets

Help Pittsburghers Stay Safe and Be Seen

While the days may be shorter, many of our bike rides are not.

Through our Operation Illumination program, we host bike light giveaways to ensure that local cyclists stay safe on our streets no matter when they’re riding. This year, we gave out more than 135 sets of lights to those in need.

Light recipients Liz and Liautaud spoke about their experiences with our Operation Illumination program:

In the coming year, we plan to enhance our Operation Illumination program by providing bike locks and helmets to those who need them most.

With your support, our Pittsburgh neighbors will have the necessary gear, educational resources, and bikeways to safely travel wherever they need to go.

BikePGH’s Operation Illumination program is just one of the ways we work to make bicycling in Pittsburgh safer and more accessible. Your contribution will support all of our innovative programs throughout the year.

PS Your gift today will go TWICE as far. All contributions made between today and December 20 will be matched. Click here to make a tax-deductible donation.
