You’re invited to our annual fundraiser – PedalPGH!
Join in the most fun you can have on two wheels while touring the city’s sights at the 28th annual UPMC Health Plan PedalPGH. It’s a casual, fun ride that exposes people of all ages and fitness levels to the neighborhoods, parks, bridges, and geography that make Pittsburgh so unique.
Choose from a flat, family-friendly 7 miler, to a beginner-friendly 25 miler, an advanced 40 mile route, or the most extreme 62 mile route.
Proceeds fund BikePGH, a charitable non-profit, who works on behalf of the Pittsburgh community to make the city safe and accessible for everyone to bike and walk.
Have questions about Pedal PGH? We’ve got answers! Join us on Tuesday, August 17, at noon for a live Facebook Q&A where we will answer all your questions about this year’s UPMC Health Plan PedalPGH.

- Or, simply register as a “virtual rider” to get some sweet swag and show your support for BikePGH!
Choose from 4 Bicycle-Friendly Routes
Register today and join in the most fun you can have on two wheels while touring the city’s sights! There’s a route option for all ages and fitness levels! Learn more about each route:
- 7 Mile Local Loop: Experience Pittsburgh’s beautiful riverfront trails and bridges with incredible views of the Downtown skyline. This kid-friendly route is as flat as you can get in Pittsburgh and consists entirely of trails and protected bike lanes.
- 25 Mile City Tour: Take a journey over bridges, through neighborhoods, and around Pittsburgh’s beautiful parks. Climbing and descending just over 1,200 feet, you can build stamina all while enjoying the unique sights in our city.
- 40 Mile Grand Tour: Climb 2,400 feet of classic Pittsburgh hills, from dense neighborhood streets to quiet tree-lined roads.
62 Mile Metric Century IS BACK!
Are you up for the MoveForwardPGH epic challenge? This new route was prepared for the most experienced bicyclists to take on the best views and hills the city has to offer.
This route will test your abilities with almost 4,000 feet of climbing up Pittsburgh’s iconic hills. Explore over 35 city neighborhoods, with a few excursions onto winding wooded roads just outside the city limits.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Rest Stops and SAG vehicle support will be available on Sunday, August 29. If you are choosing to ride “virtually” during the event weekend, be prepared for a self-supported ride.
