WMNBikePGH Workshop: Fix a Flat

Don’t get stranded when your tire goes flat!

Learn the skills you need to repair a flat bike tire with our virtual WMNBikePGH Fix a Flat workshop, led by Cannondale Ambassador Izzy Johnson. You’ll learn how to remove your wheel, dismount the tire and tube, inspect the tire for damage, and install a new tube. We’ll also discuss preventative measures you can take to minimize your chances of getting a flat (hint: it pays to be prepared).

About the Instructor: Izzy Johnson is an adventure enthusiast and a lover of all things biking. She is a Cannondale Ambassador who is passionate about embracing diversity, especially in outdoor spaces. Izzy has made it a personal goal to help increase the number of people riding bikes outdoors so that they can experience the freedom of biking.

Fix a Flat Zine: Sam Scipio designed this awesome, printable zine so everyone can have an easy-to-carry reminder of the basic steps to fix a flat!

BikePGH’s Women and Non-Binary Program is inclusive of trans and cis women, intersex people, non-binary, genderqueer, agender, and gender variant folks, as well as those whose gender identity falls outside of the dominant conceptions of gender. The program encourages conversation and spaces to come together over biking, advocacy, and related topics while increasing representation of people who have historically marginalized gender identities.
