Your Generosity Keeps Us Moving Forward
We know that people ride bikes when they feel safe on our city’s streets, and we’re committed to making that happen. This year, we collaborated with the City of Pittsburgh to install over 9 miles of safer infrastructure – bringing the total on-street bike infrastructure to over 100 miles.
Here are just a few of the projects that your support made possible in 2021:
The Bloomfield/Friendship Neighborway has been outfitted with traffic circles, wayfinding signs, sharrows, and bump-outs to make it a safer route.
The new infrastructure on Brighton Road provides safer connectivity from Downtown to the North Side.
Extending from Hatfield Street to Willow Street, the Lawrenceville Neighborway provides a safe path to Stanton Ave and Lawrenceville’s back streets.
Twenty years ago, Pittsburgh only had about 10 miles of on-street bike infrastructure. We’ve come a long way since 2002, and together we can do so much more.
As we look ahead to the new year – and the future of transportation in our city – we need your support. Give today, and help us make the changes we want to see on our streets.
P.S. Your gift today will have DOUBLE the impact. Make a tax-deductible donation before December 31, and your contribution will be matched dollar-for-dollar.
