Age-Friendly Greater Pittsburgh is recruiting neighborhood leaders to improve the experiences of older adults and people of all ages in their neighborhood. Learn more about their vision for Allegheny County from their short video:
Learn about the Age-Friendly Neighborhood Project
The Age-Friendly Neighborhood project will work with you to rally advocates around an age-friendly vision for your neighborhood. It will support existing projects, and dream up new ones with neighbors of all ages.
Examples of this work may include community conversations, tech workshops, job training projects and advocacy for safer streets.
Three neighborhoods in Allegheny County will be selected for a two-year cycle, with seed funding provided to each neighborhood to support their age-friendly projects ($7,500 per year). Neighborhood ambassadors will receive a stipend of $2,500 per year.
