BikePGH’s Women & Non-Binary Program stays rolling through the season

Be safe, heard, and represented at our group rides and meetups 💜

Picture it: You’re riding a bike through Pittsburgh as a part of a thoughtful group of women and non-binary friends. You’re able to enjoy the ride and know that you are safe, you are heard, and you are supported in your identity. In that moment, you are free to speak your mind and free to be yourself. This environment exists, we are ready to welcome you at our full season of events with WMNBikePGH.

BikePGH’s Women & Non-Binary program, WMNBikePGH, was created to break down barriers to bicycling and increase the representation of people who have historically marginalized gender identities. The program is inclusive of trans and cis women, non-binary, genderqueer, intersex, agender and gender variant folks, as well as those whose gender identity falls outside of the dominant conceptions of gender.

WMNBikePGH aims to connect and empower those who might feel excluded from the male dominant cycling culture with free educational workshops, group rides, and social events in a safe and supportive environment. Together, we can build a more inclusive and equitable community for people who want to ride bikes.

We have meetups, group rides, and events for you to attend with us throughout this summer, because now more than ever we need each others’ support. Be sure to read on for more information about how to register for these rides and meetups through September.

This map depicts the location of Roundabout’s Pop Up Beer Garden, which we will be riding to from Millvale Riverfront Park.

Join us for a no-drop bike ride from Millvale to Roundabout Brewery’s Pop Up Beer Garden with BikePGH’s Women and Non-Binary Program! We will meet at Millvale Riverfront Park and ride down to Roundabout. The brewery will be hosting a fundraiser for BikePGH, so we’ll stop and take a break there to show our support, then we will make our return to Millvale Riverfront Park. All together this ride is a TEN MILE LOOP and you can either choose to stay with the group at Roundabout out or feel free to safely explore the trail separate from the group if you prefer, just let us know.
