Connecting the West End Bridge to the surrounding neighborhoods – Public Meetings and Survey

Be a part of the vision for connecting the West End Bridge to new community spaces along the riverfront

Join Riverlife and their design team to help figure out how to connect the riverfront community spaces to the West End Bridge, and give feedback on the concepts that they are exploring. The plan seeks to create accessible, safe, artful structures and paths that connect the historic bridge to the surrounding communities and regional and national trail networks, improved destinations at the base of the bridge for parks, art and recreational opportunities, and improving the overall cross-bridge experience.

The design team will present preliminary layout options for three structures that will provide accessibility for Manchester and the West End Communities to the deck of the West End Bridge and the riverfront trail. The design team would like to hear from you about programming and landscape desires for the broader park spaces that will surround and influence these structures.

On Monday, hear from ALCOSAN about how they are creating cleaner and healthier rivers and streams with their Clean Water Plan. On Tuesday, participate in more in-depth hands-on workshops.

Don’t miss this opportunity to be a part of the transformation around the West End Bridge.
