Inviting Oakland Neighbors to Explore, Connect, and Improve Streets at BikePGH’s Neighborhood Walk

Walk with us on Monday, April 7 in Oakland

Each month, explore a different Pittsburgh neighborhood, engage with neighbors, and assess street safety and accessibility. Whether you’re a long-time resident or a newcomer, this is a fun and informative way to connect and contribute to making our city more walkable.

These walks are designed to connect community members, spark conversations about pedestrian safety, and celebrate the beauty and character of our local neighborhoods.

Our next walk is Monday, April 7th, 2025 in Oakland in collaboration with Friendship Community Church, The Corner, and Complete Streets at Pitt. Meet at 4:15 PM @ Cathedral of Learning (Fifth & Lytton). The route will be approximately 2 miles long, and should take us an hour to complete at a leisurely pace. Children and staff from the afterschool program at The Corner will join us for the Dunseith St section of the walk. Afterwards, we will have a social hour at Friendship Community Church, snacks provided!

Let’s make our streets safer, one step at a time. Stay tuned for more dates and neighborhoods, announced soon!
