Young People Can Master the Rules of the Road with BikePGH’s New “Ready to Ride” Video!

Bike riding is fun, but it’s not a game!

Our new educational video produced by BikePGH and animated by Crosswalk Media uses video game style to teach young people grades fifth and up about important bike safety concepts such as:

  • Different styles of bikes and proper bike fit
  • How to safety check a bike
  • How to properly fit a helmet
  • How to be seen and be safe
  • Hand signals
  • Knowing how and where to ride
  • The Rules of the Road
  • And more!

Thanks to support from PennDOT we are able to offer this free resource to educators, parents, and kids, so that young riders can stay safe while exploring their neighborhoods via bike. In particular, we look forward to sharing this video with Pittsburgh Public middle schools this school year along with in-class bike education.
