RECAP – WMNBikePGH’s first-ever Scavenger Hunt Ride + Party! – Nov 8, 2025

100 riders, 7 checkpoints, and a big afterparty: Our women & non-binary community took to the streets for a fun and inclusive adventure

This past Saturday on November 8, 2025, 100 riders rolled out for our first-ever WMNBikePGH Scavenger Hunt Ride + Party… and what a ride!!!!!

From newbies on their first city route-planning journey to seasoned regulars ready to crush some miles together, our community of women, trans, and non-binary riders showed up to explore the city, meet new friends, and celebrate our inclusive bike community.

Riders took on seven checkpoints across town, having fun, connecting, and hitting whatever checkpoints they wanted. Each stop was hosted by our incredible volunteers (huge thank you to them!) who kept the energy and vibes HIGH. Shoutout to our silly geese, wonderful wigged friends from @wmnplus.mtb, costume-clad companions, and our cider, candy, and popsicle purveyors!

After decoding the clues and hitting the stops, everyone gathered back at Spirit in Lawrenceville for the afterparty, with free pizza and drinks, a bandana-printing station thanks to our friend Anna-Lena + Pittsburgh Babes on Bikes, button-making, temporary tattoos with fun designs drawn by our friend Mo Riddle, free chair massages from Jessie Violet Larson Massage, free reproductive health resources from The Autonomous Body Shop, and over $2000 in raffle prizes donated by generous businesses.

Riders cashed in their manifests for raffle tickets and had the chance to win these awesome prizes, from businesses including:

  • Bivo, Carnegie Museums, Clemente Museum, Coven Brewing, DeFer, Pane e Pronto, Driftwood Oven, Firecracker Fabrics, Gold Dust Floral, Jessie Violet Larson medical massage therapist, Kindred Cycles, Knot Now Not Later, Lawrenceville Pet Supply, LMNT, Lynt, PMA Tattoo, Po Campo, Portland Design Works, Shredly, Terry Bicycles, The Bearded Iris, Thick Bikes, Una Biologicals, and Woods Room.

Big thanks to everyone who came out to ride, our volunteers and staff for making it all happen, and to Spirit in Lawrenceville for hosting us!
