June 4: Be a part of Allegheny County’s first-ever Climate Action Plan

Join the County for the Climate Action Plan Open House on Thursday, June 4

Allegheny County’s Department of Sustainability will kick off the final phase of public engagement for the
county’s first-ever Climate Action Plan (CAP) with a community open house on Thursday, June 4, 2026.

Vision: An Allegheny County where all people thrive and have a healthy environment because we take climate action together, for our neighbors and for future generations.

The CAP will help guide Allegheny County’s long-term strategies to reduce flooding and landslides, address rising energy prices, improve public health, support economic vitality and workforce development, strengthen infrastructure, and build a more resilient and sustainable future for all residents.

The June 4 event will launch a countywide engagement series that includes more than 15 pop-up events, community conversations, and virtual opportunities throughout the summer.
