Join our big end-of-year shindig to celebrate our growing community, inclusive of women, trans and non-binary people & genderqueer folks
The WMNBikePGH Scavenger Hunt Ride is a “choose your own adventure” style ride. You decide how much you want to ride and how many checkpoints you want to hit. This isn’t a race! Have fun, ride at your own pace, and all bikes are welcome.
Here’s who this event is for:
BikePGH’s Women & Non-Binary program and this event are inclusive of women, trans and non-binary people, genderqueer, agender, and gender variant folks, as well as those whose gender identity falls outside of the dominant conceptions of gender.
This event is also for ALL skill levels; checkpoints vary from easy to hard. New to riding? No problem! Super experienced? You’ll have fun, too!
Here’s what to expect:
Sunday, November 8th, 2026
- 12:30 pm – Meet at Grist House (Millvale). Bring your bike or rent a POGOH. *Note: The nearest POGOH stations to Grist House are in Lawrenceville. Download the app and plan accordingly.
- 1:00 pm – Ride manifest and clues are distributed in person at Grist House. Then, ride to the checkpoints! The more stops you hit, the more raffle tickets you get.
- 3:00 pm – After party kicks off at Grist House. Prizes, activities, free snacks & drink. *Riders need to return to Grist House by 4pm at the latest to submit their ride manifests.
- 5:00 pm – Raffle prize drawing – You must be present to win (or leave your tickets with a friend).
- 6:00 pm – Party wraps up
Plan Your Adventure – Ride Hard or Take it Easy
BikePGH will have printed copies of the Official Pittsburgh Bike Map on hand for riders to plan their route. Most, if not all, checkpoints are accessible via on-street infrastructure like bike lanes, trails, or neighborhood ways.
No matter your experience level or knowledge of bike routes in Pittsburgh, there will be something for everyone! Check point locations range from easy to hard – you can choose to take it easy and skip hills, or ride harder, going for longer mileage and some climbing. It’s up to you what you want your ride to be.
Gather your crew & start hitting checkpoints
Registered riders receive their ride manifest and checkpoint clues at 1:00pm on event day. The clues on the ride manifest will help you decode the provided map.
Checkpoints open at 1:15pm. Hit the secret checkpoint locations to have your manifest stamped. Make sure you’re back at Grist House no later than the 4 pm deadline so you can turn in your manifest for raffle tickets!
After the ride, party with us at Grist House in Millvale!
The after party gets started at 3:00pm, and riders need to return to Grist House by 4:00pm at the latest to turn in their ride manifests. The more checkpoints you make it to during the event, the more raffle tickets you’ll receive. We will pull the prize winning names at 5:00pm. If you can’t stay but still want to win, please give your tickets to a friend.
We’re gathering tons of raffle prizes from super cool local and national businesses like PMA Tattoo, Thick Bikes, Cleverhood, Driftwood Oven, Woods Room, Po Campo, Coeur Sports, and Portland Design Works. While everyone won’t receive a prize during the raffle drawing, there will be other fun activities to enjoy during the party.
Registration for this event is $25 — But no one will be turned away for lack of funds. Please contact info@bikepgh.org if $25 is not accessible to you.
REMINDERS:
– Dress comfortably and prepare for any weather: Event is rain, snow, or shine! Lightning / thunder / blizzard or other extreme weather will result in the ride being canceled.
– This ride is unsupported: all riders will plan & navigate their own route and should be prepared to handle any mechanical issues. We’ll have Pittsburgh Bike Maps on hand to help you plan your route.
– Bring your bike lock (ample bike parking outside Grist House will be available), full water bottles, snacks, and your roadside repair toolkit.
