Bruce Chan

Bruce (he/him) is a planner and urban designer, with a background in architecture, whose work centers around re-envisioning the post-industrial American city.  Having completed his masters research in Urban Design in Pittsburgh, Bruce continues to collaborate with local Western Pennsylvania architecture and planning firms in enhancing and updating communities, with an eye towards preservation, accessibility, and equity.  

He is a passionate advocate for pedestrian and bike infrastructure in Pittsburgh, and in 2016 received the Advocate of the Year award from Bike Pittsburgh for his work with local grassroots advocacy organization Bloomfield Livable Streets.

A native southern Californian, he now resides in the neighborhood of Bloomfield in Pittsburgh, where he also serves on the Board of the Bloomfield Development Corporation (and can often be found swimming at the Bloomfield Beach).
