Reflective Sticker Fashion from your BikePGH Membership Packet

Among the Benefits of Membership in BikePGH

One of the many things we include in your Membership Packet, are some little round reflective dots that you can put places to help increase your visibility at night.  Some people don’t want to put them on their bike, for fear of ruining the paint job. Also, due to the shape of many helmets on the market, it may be difficult to affix the sticker between all of the ventilation holes. Some just don’t want to put them on their helmet for reasons we won’t go into here.

So what are some other creative places to put the reflective dots?

The advent of the mini U Lock has allowed cyclists to carry around a strong protection for their ride, and an easy way to carry it around because it fits conveniently into a back pocket. Sure, you’re back pocket will eventually disintegrate, but you’ll look cool and your lock will be really accessible in the process.  Yours truly carries his U lock this way, and thought it would be a great place to add a little reflectivity.

One of the benefits of running the membership program is that you get to have access to the sheets of reflective stickers, and subsequently, the reflective stickers between the dots as well.  These negative spaces conveniently form the shape of the Steelers logo, combining a bit of Pittsburgh chic with safety.  No word yet if Zubaz will be coming out with a reflective model to form the complete ensemble.

You too can get some of the “middlings” to create your own DIY Steelers Bike Helmet by showing up to one of our Volunteer Days at the Office.  Since we just had one a couple of weeks ago, we don’t have one sceduled right now, but you can get onto the list by filling out our Volunteer Application.  We’ll contact you directly when volunteer opportunities arise.

We’d love to hear about any other creative ways to display reflective stickers or fun and fashionable ways to increase visibility.
