Become an advocate for safer biking, walking, and rolling!
While BikePGH works on improving biking and walking full time, we are only one piece of the puzzle. YOU are vital to the success of our movement for safer streets!
Here’s how you can get involved:
- Join a monthly 30-minute virtual “Intro to Bike/Ped Advocacy” orientation session!
- Find your local bike and pedestrian advocacy group (aka “bike/ped committee”), get on their email list, and attend a meeting or event! See below for a list of all the groups in our area and how to get in touch, and find group meeting details on our Civic Calendar.
Don’t see an advocacy group in your area? Use this guide to start one! - Join our community of bike/ped advocates on Slack (our online chat space) and our Facebook Group. Introduce yourself, share ideas, and ask any questions you have! Our community loves to help each other out with everything from how to get started with an idea to finding the best bike routes.
- Sign up for our monthly “Outspoken” newsletter to get the latest advocacy opportunities, campaign updates, and community events.
- Still have questions? Email advocacy@bikepgh.org with your questions or to set up a meeting.
