BikeFest is our biggest fundraiser and annual celebration of all-things-bicycling in Pittsburgh. For 2013 we’ve expanded the fun to 17 days with bike-themed rides and events organized by local organizations and by people like you.

BikeFest Kickoff Party August 9th
BikeFest 2013 kicked off with our annual BikeFest fundraiser bash on August 9th where everyone enjoyed one of the best parties in Pittsburgh while supporting our mission to make Pittsburgh more bike and pedestrian friendly. Special thanks to our BikeFest 2013 Host Committee.
Location: Pittsburgh Opera 2425 Liberty Ave Pittsburgh, PA 15222
- 6:00PM to 8:00PM, Catered by Kevin Sousa from Salt of the Earth, and a Live performance by Pittsburgh’s own Molly Alphabet .
Main Event Party: Our largest party of the year kicked off BikeFest in style, and raised funds to support BikePGH’s advocacy efforts. Thick Bikes was also there with the great bike seesaw!
- 8:00PM to 12:00AM, Featured Pandemic Pete, Edgar Um, The Pittsburgh Track Authority, and a Silent Auction with bikes, art, and much more.
Ride with BikePGH on Sunday August 25, 2013 to celebrate 20 years of PedalPGH. Named one of “The Best of the ‘Burgh” By Pittsburgh Magazine in 2013, PedalPGH is not to be missed.
Choose one of three great rides around Pittsburgh:
- Beginner friendly Post-Gazette Family Ride
- 25 mile Highmark City Tour
- 62 mile PJ Dick, Trumbull and Lindy Paving Metric Century
Riders will have fully marked courses that show off some of the City’s best bicycle friendly roads, scenic views and of course bike lanes. Full service rest stops along each of the routes will provide riders with gourmet snacks from our partner Whole Foods. Wrapping up your ride don’t forget to pick up your commemorative 20th Anniversary PedalPGH T-Shirt and enjoy Music and great food from one of Pittsburgh’s Mobile Food Trucks.
PedalPGH and the BikeFest Party wouldn’t be possible without lots of dedicated volunteers. Join our team to help out before or during the events and you’ll get great perks in return.
