Chatham, CMU, and Pitt are celebrating Bike to Campus Day to welcome and encourage those who bike and want to start to bike to campus

This year, Carnegie Mellon University, Chatham University, and the University of Pittsburgh are hosting the first ever Bike to Campus Day! These events will help to celebrate, encourage, and inspire folks to bike to campus and take part in the festivities. Whether you are a student, staff, faculty or anything in between, these universities hope to see you at their events. Biking to any Campus in the City should be easy, intuitive, and welcoming and the universities are here to help.

Each of the universities have various activities planned for riders and interested people who stop by the booths. They will all have bike maps available, biking 101 guides, bike technicians to fix minor bike repairs, and a variety of other activities. Check out what each university has going on below.

Bike Friendly Universities

All 3 universities rank as Bicycle Friendly Universities as categorized by the League of American Bicyclists. Carnegie Mellon University holds a Silver designation while both Chatham University and University of Pittsburgh rake at the Bronze level. This means that each university is working to make their campus and its surroundings as bike friendly as possible. Help them make it even more bike friendly by biking to campus.
