Safe Routes to School: Bike Safety event June 12

Join us along with The Department of Mobility and Infrastructure, for a Safe Routes to School, a Bicycle Safety Event

Nothing starts a school day better than a walk or bike ride in the fresh air, and Safe Routes to School is here to help make it happen. If your young scholar aspires to bike or walk to school this year, then this event is right up their alley!

The Department of Mobility and Infrastructure’s Safe Routes to School program provides skill-building and safety education for students, creates encouragement activities that get children moving, and builds enthusiasm and support among families, teachers, and local government officials.

Join us and Safe Routes to School at The Bud Harris Cycling Track, 1401 Washington Blvd, Pittsburgh, PA 15206, on Saturday, June 12, from 11 am to 2 pm for an inspiring series of activities. Learn how MoveForwardPGH is working to make Pittsburgh’s roadways safer for everyone, find out about youth summer programs, receive free bike helmets and other safety resources, see demonstrations on bicycle safety from BikePGH educators, and more from our partner organizations.

Get involved with Safe Routes to School this year and help make your community safer for all who walk or ride!  We hope to see you there!
