Reimagining Our Streets for People at Park(ing) Day

Visit our Parking Day pop-up along Penn Avenue this Friday

We teamed up with MoveForwardPGH, Healthy Ride, Pittsburgh Downtown Partnership, and MovePGH to repurpose multiple parking spaces for Park(ing) Day.

Park(ing) Day is a global event where people temporarily repurpose street parking spaces and convert them into tiny parks and places for art, play, and activism.

It’s a unique and exciting opportunity to engage in the ongoing dialog around how our cities are designed and built.

Visit us Downtown along the parking spaces on Penn Avenue between 10th and 11th Street from 7:30 am to noon for coffee and conversations on how we can make our streets safer and more accessible for all Pittsburghers.

While visiting our temporary parks, stop by the BikePGH tent and learn about our Safe Trips in the Strip campaign! The Strip is one of the most highly-trafficked and confusing areas to navigate. If you commute by bike through the Strip District, we want to hear from you! Stop by and give us a quick interview about your experience.
