Thank you for an incredible OpenStreetsPGH season!

Over 55,000 of you helped us demonstrate the magic that happens when city streets are given back to people

Wow…. what a way to end the summer! We biked, walked, rolled, danced, laughed, and POGOHed our way across the city in 2023. BikePGH would like to give a huge thank you to everyone who came out to enjoy our brand new OpenStreetsPGH route on July 30 as we connected the communities of Oakland and Bloomfield with car-free streets. Click here to take a look at our incredible July 30 OpenStreetsPGH Flickr photos by the talented Murphy Moschetta – see if you can spot yourself!

Over 55,000 people were estimated to be in attendance over the course of our three OpenStreetsPGH events this year – connecting more than 10 miles of car-free city streets in North Shore, Downtown, South Side, Northside, the Strip District, Lawrenceville, Oakland and Bloomfield. We hope you were able to join us to rediscover streets as places for people not just cars.

HUGE THANKS TO OUR SPONSORS!

The event is made possible through major support from UPMC Health Plan. Additional support is provided by Peoples Natural Gas, Strip District Terminal, The Buhl Foundation, Katherine Mabis McKenna Foundation, Zero Fossil, DipJar, Harvie, NextPGH, City Paper, Pittsburgh Regional Transit, Walnut Capital, and Allegheny County.

Get ready to roll at the 30th Anniversary of PedalPGH! BikePGH hosts the leading bicycle event (notice we didn’t say bicycle “race”) of the year, annually on the last Sunday in August. It’s a casual, fun ride that exposes people of all ages and fitness levels to the neighborhoods, parks, bridges, and geography that make our region so unique. As a fundraiser PedalPGH enables BikePGH to continue to transform our streets and communities into vibrant, healthy places by making them safe and accessible for everyone to bike and walk. Don’t forget to use your coupon code when you register!
