Hooray for May!

May is National Bike Month & our Membership Campaign

May is National Bike Month and our one big membership drive of the year so it’s the best time to support our work to make biking and walking better in Pittsburgh.

The growing network of bike lanes, traffic calmed streets, bike racks, and public policies like Complete Streets and Vision Zero wouldn’t happen without our members. Choose an amount that’s right for you and join today.

Exclusive perk: New and renewing sustaining members at the $20 per month level will receive a limited edition BikePGH x Cotopaxi hip bag. Each bag is a one-of-a-kind color combo made from repurposed fabric.

Every new and renewing member gets access to tons of member perks and discounts, like a 15% discount on a BikePGH branded Cleverhood rain jacket. When you visit us on Bike to Work Day, all members get a cool giveaway, so come see us on May 9th!

WHY BE A SUSTAINING MEMBER?

Sustaining members are important to BikePGH because they a dedicated group and reliable source of revenue. Knowing that we can rely on your monthly donations powers our Advocacy, Education, and Community programming which results in a more bike/walk friendly Pittsburgh

HERE’S HOW YOU CAN LEVEL-UP IN MAY

Come to Bike To Work Day, Thursday, May 9

Come visit us at one of our Commuter Cafés on your way to or from work. If you work from home or have off that day, the only requirement is that you arrive by bike!

Join or renew your BikePGH membership in person. Hang out, help yourself to free coffee and breakfast, and hear about what we have going on this year. Biking is better together, so bring a friend!

If you can’t make it to Bike to Work Day, renew at our May 11th OpenStreetsPGH, or online any time!

BikePGH’s free events are made possible thanks to the support of our members and donors. Join us!

Get involved with advocacy for safer streets

Our evening Bike to Work Day Commuter Café will be in the Strip District– which is a great opportunity to get involved by signing on to our Safe Trips in the Strip campaign. Plus, you can always join your neighborhood’s bike/pedestrian committee. If your neighborhood does not have an active bike/pedestrian committee, start one! We’ll show you how and support your efforts, just reach out to advocacy@bikepgh.org.

Refine your skills and knowledge

Sign up for a BikePGH class like Confident City Cycling to brush up on your skills no matter your level. They’re free and chock full of useful information and hands-on learning. Stay tuned for our family-friendly  (and free!)  “Learn to Ride” series, coming to a Pittsburgh Park near you!

Become a BikePGH member or upgrade your membership. Add your name to the growing community of Pittsburghers who believe safe streets for people-powered mobility makes life better for everyone. People like you make our work possible.
