To celebrate the future of Pittsburgh cyclists, we’re holding a coloring contest for kids aged 3-10 years old! Winner gets a free Youth and Adult PedalPGH 2026 Registration
Kids who bike represent the future of safer, healthier, and more connected communities. When youth learn to ride, they’re also gaining confidence, independence, and a new perspective on how to experience their own neighborhood.
Through BikePGH’s programs like Learn 2 Ride and family-friendly events like OpenStreetsPGH and PedalPGH, we take pride in creating spaces where kids can feel joyful, capable, and included. Investing in our youth helps build lifelong habits around active transportation, safety, and finding value in streets designed for people.
That’s why… we’re holding a kids coloring contest, and the theme is “HAVE FUN, RIDE SAFE!”

➤ Show up for safe streets
As the weather warms, people are getting back on their bikes and out on foot, but still too many folks don’t feel safe doing it! When you support BikePGH whether by making a donation or attending an event, you help power the work that makes our streets more connected, more accessible, and safer for everyone that uses them, as we:
- Advocate for protected bike lanes
- Push for safer crossings and traffic calming
- Expand educational programs like Learn2Ride
- Build a city where more people feel confident choosing to bike or walk
