Community Outreach Associates, also known as Bike People, create a unique collaboration between BikePGH and Bike Share Pittsburgh (POGOH), serving as a bridge between our organizations and Pittsburgh’s many communities. The Bike People serve as the first point of contact for community members at in-person outreach events, with a primary goal of providing local resources to neighbors regardless of their current relationship with bicycling, increasing awareness and access to transportation options, and breaking down barriers to bicycling.
BikePGH and POGOH are seeking outgoing, friendly Community Outreach Associates (Bike People) to:

- Provide local resources and education to persons regardless of whether or not they bike
- Share information about BikePGH & POGOH events and program offerings
- Engage with the public to encourage membership sign-ups and renewals, as well as collect useful community information via newsletter sign-ups and survey responses
Community Outreach Associates (Bike People) will also work in collaboration with full-time staff from both organizations on outreach efforts and event execution at large scale events such as: Le Tour de Donut, Bike to Work Day, OpenStreetsPGH, PedalPGH, End of Summer Roll Up, and Bike or Treat.

- Adaptive POGOH
- BikePGH Education Programs (Valid clearances to work with children required for youth focused shifts. Clearances submitted within the last 60 months / 5 years are accepted as valid.)
BikePGH & POGOH are committed to equity, diversity, and inclusion not only in how we shape our strategic goals and organizational work but who we employ on our staff and the volunteers on our board of directors. In recruiting for our organization, we welcome the life experiences that are shaped in part by, education, race, color, national origin, religion, gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, genetics, disability, age, languages spoken, or veteran’s status.
