$20,000 Grant To Be Awarded To Support Sustainable Transportation

Connect your proposal to Car Free Fridays to help demonstrate community support

Several weeks ago the Sprout Fund sent out a Request For Proposals for a $20K funding opportunity to inspire an innovative transportation initiative in the city. The idea is to engage with, celebrate, and promote public transportation in Pittsburgh. At BikePGH we’re very excited about the prospect of Sprout engaging some of the city’s most creative innovators to address transportation in Pittsburgh. If you or someone you know seems like a good match for this grant please encourage them to apply. Businesses are welcome to make submissions too as long as the focus of the project meets the criteria.

The scope of possible proposals is wide, whether the project is based in programing, advertising, technology, education or  really anything, the grant has the potential to support and strengthen transportation advocacy in Pittsburgh. BikePGH is also more than happy to help you connect your project to Car Free Fridays, which is an excellent way to demonstrate community buy in and support. Just let us know about your project and we’ll help you find a way to connect it to efforts already taking shape. Email CFF@bike-pgh.org to tell us about your plans.

The listed deadline for application is November 30th, but the Sprout Fund has indicated that they’ll keep the door open if needed because timing with the holiday. Be sure to communicate with them an expectation. Grant inquires thus far have been light.
