Ride Like a Girl Weekend 2020

Statement from the Wheel Mill regarding the cancellation of Ride Like a Girl Weekend due to the Coronavirus:

Due to the growing concerns of the Coronavirus, we will be canceling Ride Like a Girl Weekend on March 21st and 22nd. It hurts to do it, since this is our baby and we’re really passionate about teaching and riding, but we want you all to stay safe and healthy. We’ll make it up to you as soon as we can.

– Carley and Karen

All participants will be issued a full refund which you should see by this coming Wednesday, March 18. We apologize for any hardship or inconvenience that this may cause you with travel plans or accommodations. We are trying to do our part to keep from overburdening the medical system and allow for the best possible treatment of those in vulnerable populations.

The park will remain open for now, but in addition to enhanced sanitizing of the facility, we are instituting maximum occupancy recommendations for all common areas in order to maintain social distancing protocols.

Thanks for your understanding and stay healthy!

Sincerely,

Harry Geyer, owner

The Wheel Mill is hosting another year of Ride Like a Girl Weekend

Learn to ride mountain bikes, BMX, and dirt jumpers on a weekend with no boys allowed. Skilled instructors from all around the country create a supportive, encouraging environment to challenge you while you learn new skills. It’s a weekend to refine your biking knowledge or start from scratch. Plus, it’s a great introduction into The Wheel Mill’s 80,000 square foot park full of ramps and trails of all kinds.

You’ll start off the day with a warm-up and fundamentals, then can choose a track that matches your skill level and interests for a morning and afternoon session. Sign up soon, before your favorite clinics fill up!

The Wheel Mill’s Ride Like a Girl Weekend is inclusive of trans and cis women, intersex people, non-binary, genderqueer, agender and gender variant folks, as well as those whose gender identity falls outside of the dominant conceptions of gender.
