Mark those calendars and get in on the action 🗓️
Wowzer! BikePGH turns TWENTY this year and our events are back in full-force! Check out what we have in store across the city, from three full OpenStreetsPGH events, to the 29th annual PedalPGH, to our HUGE 20th Anniversary Birthday Party (…BikeFest!-esque party, anyone?).
Our events are more than just an assortment of group rides, festivals, and fun for everyone. They’re an important part of how our organization shares our mission with the community, garners support for safety and infrastructure initiatives, and educates the public on how to bike and drive safely. Events help us to engage you with our work and really show off why we have been doing what we do (i.e. Advocacy, Education, and Community) for the past 20 years! You’re really going to want to be a part of it all.
Here’s our full season on events:

✅ May 29: OpenStreetsPGH (Downtown to Southside) ~ (thanks for coming!)

On May 29th, we walked, rolled, and strolled from the heart of downtown Pittsburgh, through a magically car-free Armstrong Tunnel, and over the iconic 10th Street Bridge and into the bustling East Carson St business district! Thank you all for attending, and we’ll see you in June! OpenStreetsPGH.org

🥳 September 24: BikePGH 20th Anniversary Birthday Party at the Pittsburgh Opera

Party like we’re 20… because we are! We’re celebrating 20 years and we want you to be a part of it. More details about the event will be announced soon. For now, just know that this is going to be THE party of the year celebrating our organization’s history of accomplishments and how these efforts have enhanced *the Pittsburgh experience* when it comes to livability and accessible transport.
💟 October 15: 9th Annual WMNBikePGH Summit presented by Dollar Bank

BikePGH’s Women and Non-Binary Program is inclusive of trans and cis women, intersex people, non-binary, genderqueer, agender and gender variant folks, as well as those whose gender identity falls outside of the dominant conceptions of gender. The annual summit brings this community together for a full day of sweet workshops, hands-on experiences, and provides space to come together over biking, advocacy and related topics while increasing representation of people who have historically marginalized gender identities. Join our Facebook Group or visit the website to learn more.
🏆 November: Business Awards Night (Date TBA)

💌 December: Annual Members Meeting (Date TBA)
In addition to these main events, we also have tons of smaller workshops and online events throughout the year, which you can keep up with on our BIkePGH Facebook Page on the Events section.
So get ready to have some great fun with us this year while also knowing that these events serve an incredible purpose– and that there is so much more to do to make our great city safer and more accessible for all! We hope we can count on your continued support to help us in this effort.
We’ve been happily busy and we will continue to stay busy in order to bring you the highest quality events that engage you with BikePGH’s work and celebrate how far we’ve come as a leader in bicycle and pedestrian safety. Follow us on social media @BikePGH for further updates on what’s in store for this year, and we’ll see you there!
