
2025 Group Rides!
WMNBikePGH rides are no-drop (none will be left behind), and we will frequently regroup. Please consider which ride is right for you. Ride pace is 8-10 mph. There will be a ride leader, sweep, and marshals to ensure the group stays together and is safe.

Ride details: It’s the return of the Pride Ride with FREE ICE CREAM! The route is a beginner friendly almost flat, 8.5 mile loop. Come out to meet new friends and explore the city by bike.

Start & end location: Friendship Park (map)
Ride details: This ride is an intermediate friendly on-street ride. It is a 15-mile loop with 800 feet of climbing. If you are uncomfortable riding on the street or climbing hills, this may not be the ride for you.

Start Location: POGOH Station at 26th and Railroad in the Strip (map)
End Location: Strip District Terminal – just down the street from the start location (map)

Ride details: This ride is an beginner friendly trail AND on-street ride. The route is 10 miles and almost completely flat!

Start & end location: Allegheny Commons Park West – Brighton Ave & W Ohio St (map)
Ride details: It’s the PedalPGH 25 mile practice ride! With PedalPGH taking place on 8/24, we’re hosting a practice ride for our WMNBikePGH community.
This ride is an intermediate-friendly on-street ride. It is a 23-mile loop with 1,00 feet of climbing. If you are uncomfortable riding on the street or climbing hills, this may not be the ride for you.
>We’ll follow a route closely based on the 25 mile PedalPGH route and explore a ton of Pittsburgh neighborhoods and see some of our city’s best bike infrastructure. We will make two brief stops for breaks.
>Come prepared! Pack everything you need to ride comfortably and maintain your energy – snacks, two full water bottles, sunscreen, etc.

Bike Maintenance Classes
Each class will be hosted at Free Ride and taught by local mechanic Opal Dickman (she/they). Classes will consist of Opal presenting information to the group on the specific topic, a demonstration by Opal, and then ample time for each participant to practice on their bike.
You must register in advance!

Confident City Cycling
Learn to bike safely & confidently at this FREE class. All of the WMNBikePGH Confident City Cycling classes will be taught by female League Cycling Instructors (LCIs), be hosted at the Pitt Bike Cave in Oakland (map), and cover the same information, so only register for one.
